5 deepest trench in the world

mountain peaks of Everest is the highest peak in the world, when there is the highest there must be also the deepest. The following five deepest trenches in the world:

1.  Mariana Trench

Mariana Trench or Marianas Trench is the deepest trough known , and the deepest location is in the Earth's crust . She is located at the base of northwest Pacific Ocean , east of archipelagic Mariana at 11 ° 21 'north latitude and 142 ° 12 ' East longitude , close also to Japan . Trench is a boundary where two tectonic plates meet , a subduction zone where the Pacific Plate under the Philippine Plate disubduksi . The basis of this trough far below sea level even further than the height of Mount Everest above sea level . This trough has a maximum depth of 10,911 meters ( 35,798 feet ) below sea level . Was first investigated in 1951 by the British Navy ship , Challenger II , which gives the name of the deepest point of the trough depth of Challenger . Using echo , Challenger II measure into 5,960 fathoms ( - +10,900 m ) at 11 ° 19 ' N , 142 ° 15 ' T. voicing is repeated many times using the " earphone " to hear a signal back when " stylus " pass -scale depth " graduated " .

   2.  Tonga Trench

Tonga Trench is located in the South Pacific Ocean, New Zealand with a depth of (- +10,882) meters (35 702 feet). Deepest point known as the Deep Horizon. This trough is located at the northern end of the Kermadec-Tonga subduction zone. Subduction zone is the most active where the Pacific Plate under bersubduksi Tonga Plate and the Indo-Australian Plate. Tonga Trench elongated in the north-north-east of the Kermadec Islands north of New Zealand's North Island. This trough is the final resting place of a radioisotope thermoelectric generator of the aborted Apollo 13 mission.

   3.  Trench  Philippines

Trench Philippines (Mindanao Deep) is located to the east of the Philippines. Has a length of about 1,320 km and a width of about 30 km from the center of the Philippine island of Luzon stretches up to the southeast of the island of Halmahera, North Maluku in Indonesia. Galathea deepest point, has a depth of (- +10,540) meters. Philippine Trench is the result of a collision of tectonic plates bersubduksi Philippine Sea Plate under the Philippine Mobile Belt at a rate of about 16 centimeters year.

  4.  Kuril-Kamchatka

Kuril-Kamchatka Trench or Kuril Trench has a maximum depth of (- +10,542) meters. Kuril name is derived from the name of the Kuril Islands that are around the trough which is about 200 m. Extending from three intersections between Ulakhan Fault and to the north to the Aleutian Trench Trench to the south of Japan. This trough is formed as a result of the subduction zone, at the end of the Cretaceous, and the Kuril Islands.

  5.   Kermadec Trench

Kermadec Trench is one of the deepest trough of the Earth with the achievements of depth (- +10,047) meters (32,963 feet) in the Pacific Ocean. Formed by the subduction of the Pacific Plate under the Indo-Australian Plate. not much is known of the trough kermedec.
